AC Replacement in Liberty Hill, TX
If your air conditioner keeps breaking down, runs constantly without cooling your home, or is more than 10+ years old, replacement is likely the more cost-effective path. All-Star Trade Pros Plumbing & AC provides Air Conditioning (AC) replacement in Liberty Hill, TX for homeowners who need a reliable system installed the right way.
Trusted AC Replacement Services for Liberty Hill Homeowners
Liberty Hill summers push residential cooling systems hard. High temperatures from June through September put consistent strain on older or undersized Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment. When a system can no longer keep up, repairs become a recurring expense rather than a one-time fix.
All-Star Trade Pros Plumbing & AC handles the full AC replacement process – from evaluating your current system to installing and testing the new unit. We work with homeowners in Liberty Hill and the surrounding Williamson County area to match the right system size and efficiency rating to each home.
Our technicians are licensed HVAC contractors. Every replacement job follows manufacturer specifications and local code requirements. We provide a written estimate before any work begins.
Signs It's Time to Replace Your Air Conditioner
Not every AC problem calls for a replacement. But certain signs point clearly toward a system that has reached the end of its service life. Here are the most common ones.
Your AC Is More Than 10-15 Years Old
Most central air conditioning systems are designed for 15 to 20 years of service under normal conditions. In Central Texas, where systems run longer and work harder than in cooler climates, that lifespan often runs closer to 12 to 15 years.
An aging unit may still function, but its efficiency drops over time. Older systems use refrigerants like R-22 that are no longer manufactured and are expensive to source. If your system is in the 10-to-15-year range and starting to show other problems, replacement gives you a new system with a current warranty rather than continued spending on an aging one.
Frequent Repairs and Breakdowns
A single repair is normal. Repairs every season – or multiple repairs within the same season – are a signal that the system’s core components are wearing out. Compressor issues, refrigerant leaks, and failed capacitors on an older unit typically cost more to address than they return in extended system life.
A general guideline used across the HVAC industry: if a repair costs more than half the price of a replacement system, replacement is the better financial decision. All-Star Trade Pros can evaluate your current unit and give you a clear picture of repair costs versus replacement costs so you can make an informed choice.
Rising Energy Bills
An AC unit that runs longer cycles to reach the same temperature your thermostat is set to is working harder than it should. That extra runtime shows up directly on your monthly utility bill.
If your cooling costs have increased steadily over the past two to three summers – without a significant change in how you use your system – reduced efficiency is likely the cause. A new system with a higher Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) rating runs more efficiently and brings those costs back down.
Uneven Cooling Throughout Your Home
Some rooms too warm while others reach the set temperature – this pattern points to a system that can no longer distribute conditioned air properly. It can result from ductwork issues, but it can also mean the unit itself has lost the output capacity it needs to cool your full square footage.
A properly sized replacement system, combined with a duct inspection, addresses both the equipment and the distribution side of the problem.
Benefits of Installing a New Air Conditioning System
Replacing an older unit is a direct investment in your home’s comfort and your monthly operating costs. Here is what a new system delivers.
Improved Energy Efficiency
New AC systems manufactured today operate at significantly higher efficiency levels than units from 10 or 15 years ago. Current minimum SEER ratings for residential systems are higher than those required when most older units were built. High-efficiency systems carry SEER ratings of 18 or above.
Higher efficiency means the system uses less electricity to move the same amount of heat out of your home. In a Liberty Hill summer, that difference adds up over four to five months of daily operation.
Better Indoor Comfort
A correctly sized new system maintains consistent temperatures throughout your home without the temperature swings that come from an oversized or undersized unit. Variable-speed compressor technology, available in many current models, adjusts output to match actual cooling demand rather than cycling on and off at full capacity.
The result is steadier temperatures, fewer hot spots, and a more comfortable interior even during the hottest parts of the day.
Enhanced Indoor Air Quality
Newer AC systems pair with current filtration options that older units cannot accommodate. High-efficiency air filters, ultraviolet (UV) air purifiers, and whole-home dehumidifiers integrate cleanly with modern equipment.
In Liberty Hill, where spring allergen counts run high and summer humidity adds to indoor air quality concerns, a new system gives you more options for managing what circulates through your home’s air supply.
Lower Monthly Utility Costs
The efficiency gains from a new system translate directly to lower monthly electricity costs during cooling season. Homeowners replacing a system that is 12 or more years old typically see a noticeable reduction in their summer utility bills.
Many new systems also qualify for utility rebates or federal energy efficiency tax credits. All-Star Trade Pros can walk you through what incentives apply to the equipment we recommend for your home.
Our AC Replacement Process
We follow a consistent process on every AC replacement job in Liberty Hill. Each step is designed to make sure the new system is the right fit for your home and installed correctly.
In-Home Evaluation
We start with an on-site visit to assess your current system, your home’s square footage, insulation levels, window placement, and existing ductwork. This gives us the information we need to make an accurate recommendation – not a guess based on a phone call.
We check the condition of your current equipment, note any existing ductwork problems, and ask about any comfort issues you have had with the current system.
System Sizing and Recommendations
AC sizing is calculated using Manual J load calculations – the industry-standard method for determining the correct system capacity for a specific home. An oversized system short-cycles and does not properly dehumidify. An undersized system runs continuously and cannot meet demand on the hottest days.
We present you with equipment options that match your home’s calculated load, your efficiency goals, and your budget. We explain the difference between options clearly so you can make the decision that fits your situation.
Professional AC Installation
Our licensed HVAC technicians handle the full installation – removing the old equipment, installing the new indoor and outdoor units, connecting refrigerant lines, and integrating with your existing thermostat or recommending an upgrade if needed.
We follow all manufacturer installation guidelines and local permit requirements. Proper installation directly affects system performance, efficiency, and warranty validity.
Final Testing and Performance Check
After installation, we run the system through a full operational test. We check refrigerant charge, airflow at each register, thermostat calibration, and electrical connections. We confirm the system is reaching set temperature and cycling normally before we consider the job complete.
You get a walkthrough of the new system’s operation, maintenance requirements, and warranty coverage before we leave.

Filters were regularly replaced, breaker did not trip, indoor air flow evaporator blower was working. Called this company and had one of their senior most techs to troubleshoot the issue and he found one side of compressor’s refrigerant pressure was at 240 psi. but the outdoor condenser fan would not turn on. He checked the run cap, and determined it was Ok and thought it could be the high/low pressure switches and bypassed one of them which brought on the compressor but not the fan. He moved the fan blade( usually if it gets the fan to start, it meant the run cap could be at fault), and felt some resistance and concluded the bearing on the fan was bad. There was no other test beyond this to conclude that this was the issue. I moved it with a delicate twig which tells that the motor’s starting torque should have no problem with it. He settled on this as the root cause and searched for its replacement. This was a1/8 HP fan and the part costed 700$ from his sources. The labor was estimated to be 1100$ to fix it. On top of this, he was not sure if this is going to fix the problem, if. He finds that the fan did not work, I would be stuck with the cost 700$ anyway. There was no assurance that after spending 1800$ that he can guarantee that it will work. I took a photo of the fan model # and searched online and found the exact model # on eBay for between 50$-160$. There was no attempt to diagnose if the fan was indeed the problem. He then quoted to reinstall half the system ( condenser airflow furnace ) and the quote for a 2T replacement of the 1st floor unit ranged from 8k (Ruud) - 16K(Carrier) . All in all, the tech did not seem to be oriented to problem solving but more about quoting a ridiculous figure and getting out with service fees by not trouble shooting it adequately. He left the unit in a worse off condition because he tried to bypass a switch and did not attempt to redo the patch. The fuse also was taken out citing that it could cause the compressor to burn. When leaving a system, without repairing, it is important to leave it as you found it. I expected him to re-engage the safety bypass for the fan and replace the fuse so that he left it in a state that it was before he started work.Posted on Google C STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A total waste of time—they never showed up! They love to run big ad campaigns and discount promos, but if you actually book a slot during that time, they treat it like a joke. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your day waiting for themPosted on Google O'Brien Ngemaes Jr.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had an opportunity to work with Jay. Highly reccomend. Jay was on time, respectful and very knowledgeable. He walked me through the whole process and even went out of his way to give me pointers on how to maintain and clean my HVAC from home. Excellent service. Thank you JayPosted on Google O. G. ChainTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jay did an outstanding job with our A/C repair. After dealing with a previous technician who left the work incomplete and created more problems than they solved, it was immediately obvious how much pride Jay takes in his craft. Instead of looking for the quickest fix, he took the time to carefully inspect everything, identify what had been done incorrectly, and methodically correct each issue. His attention to detail was exceptional, and he explained what he was doing in a way that inspired confidence without ever being condescending. It’s rare to find someone who is not only knowledgeable but also genuinely committed to making sure the job is done right the first time. The difference in professionalism, workmanship, and accountability compared to our previous experience couldn’t have been more apparent. Jay turned a frustrating situation into one we could finally stop worrying about. Employees like Jay are the reason customers stay loyal to a company. He represents your business incredibly well, and based on the quality of his work and the care he puts into every detail, he absolutely deserves recognition, and honestly, a raise. We’re extremely grateful for his help and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing HVAC service.
