Why Treat Your Water?

- Feel better: Softer skin and hair; spot-free dishes; easier cleaning.
- Taste better: Reduce chlorine/chloramine taste & odor throughout the home.
- Drink better: Crisp, low-TDS water at the sink/fridge for coffee, tea, ice, and cooking.
Which System Do I Need?
- Hard water (spots, scale, dry skin)? → Water Softener
- Chlorine/chloramine taste & odors? → Whole-Home Carbon Filter
- Great-tasting drinking/cooking water? → Under-Sink 5-Stage RO
What You Get With Us
- Free Service Call + FREE on-site water test (hardness, basic chlorine/chloramine, TDS)
- Written, no-pressure options—tailored to your home and goals
- Clean, code-compliant installation with homeowner walk-through
- Ongoing service plans for filters, media, and annual checkups
What is a Water Softener?
A water softener is a whole-home system that removes hardness minerals (calcium & magnesium) that cause scale, spots, and premature failure of water-using appliances. It typically installs on the main water line and uses ion exchange: resin beads trade hardness ions for sodium or potassium, delivering soft water to every tap.
Why it helps
- Protects pipes, fixtures, and water heaters from scale buildup
- Softer skin & hair; spot-free dishes; easier cleaning
- Uses less soap/detergent; helps appliances run efficiently
Basics & care
- Works automatically based on water use (demand-metered is best)
- Add softener salt as needed; get an annual system check
- Pairs perfectly with a carbon filter for better taste and to extend resin life
Not sure if you need one? We include a FREE on-site water test to measure hardness and size the right system.
What is a Carbon Filter?
A carbon filter is a whole-home unit that improves taste and odor by reducing chlorine/chloramine and many common organics. It installs before or alongside a softener so every faucet and shower benefits.
How it works
- Water passes through activated or catalytic carbon media
- Contaminants are reduced via adsorption (they stick to the carbon’s surface)
- Backwashing models automatically rinse and refresh the media bed
Why it helps
- Better-tasting, better-smelling water throughout the home
- Kinder to skin and hair; protects rubber/plastic parts in plumbing
- Extends softener media life
Basics & care
- Annual function check; media typically replaced every 4–8 years (usage & chemistry dependent)
- We select activated vs. catalytic carbon based on your water test (chlorine vs. chloramine)
What is an RO System?
A reverse osmosis (RO) system is a drinking-water purifier (usually under the kitchen sink) that delivers crisp, low-TDS water to a dedicated faucet—and optionally to your fridge/ice maker.
How it works
- Multi-stage filtration (commonly 5 stages) removes sediment and chlorine before pushing water through a semi-permeable membrane that rejects dissolved solids; a final carbon “polish” finishes the taste.
Why it helps
- Clean, great-tasting water for drinking, coffee/tea, cooking, and ice
- Significantly lowers TDS and reduces many contaminants (system-dependent)
- Compact and quiet; easy to use
Basics & care
- Pre/post filters: change every 6–12 months
- RO membrane: typically 2–5 years
- Optional remineralization for a balanced, “spring-water” taste; fridge tee available
We’ll test your water for free on-site and recommend the right RO setup for your home and goals.
